A second-hand NAD PP4 would be ideal - I bought one new and sold it for nearly what I'd paid for it to digitise my vinyl. Comes with the impressive Vinyl Studio software (which can be addictive)....
I'd second the choice of Vinyl Studio. I used the little NADPP4 for 16/48 vinyl transfer. Both were covered on my blog:

It's a free upgrade from 3.2 to 3.5 - long time since ver 2.0 so I'm grateful I've not been charged. There are graded discounts for users of older versions too. Sadly the interface (Mac) has been...
I got a copy of Vinyl Studio with my NAD PP4 ADC and covered various aspects of its use on my blog at the time.
I was sufficiently keen on it to buy a full copy when I sold my NAD on - after...
I reviewed them twice, a mini review in Practical Hi-Fi and a comparative review in What Hi-Fi? I was very keen on the clean tight bass sound and excellent imagery but they are only little speakers...
You can find my original Hi-Fi Answers system review with the Sansui 222 MkII at:

Can't go wrong in my opinion
If you could find a s/h TEAC AI-301DA you'd have bluetooth streaming DSD and headphones with coax/optical and two-line inputs. Use one in my office.

Sorry Lawrence I don't know anyone who'd do this work for you - shame I've just moved out of the NE as Durham wouldn't have been too much of a stretch.

Hi - there are four belts in the Thacker kit. Two shorter identical belts are the lower belts on both sides of the mech. The thicker of the two larger belts goes on the clamp and the other on the...
Hi Lawrence
I've fitted a good number of Thacker belt kits to Marantz high-end CD players - there should be a very full thread on AOS to which I contributed some time two year ago. It's intricate...
I use 'Radio' from hetissimpel for Internet radio - offers recording and editable stations - Mac menu bar faceless app cost £5

I've been ripping vinyl at 16/48 with an NAD PP4 and the bundled Vinyl Studio software with great results - reviewed on my blog at...
I've been using a TEAC AI-311DA ampDAC in my office system for a few months - it's only 30w Class D but put up a good fight with my big Spendor D9s when asked. The DAC side is DSD native and sounds...
Don't know if you've solved this but the new version of Audirvana certainly selected a different audio source from the one I was using prior to the upgrade. You may need to reselect the source in the...
Hi Dave
Did you mean new Pioneer? Ironically perhaps. I've just bought a new Panasonic 50EX750B TV and wanted to check the HDMI setting like you - e-help says look under the Setup menu for HDMI - ...
Just found a picture from the end of the 70s - London system with Gales and Radford

Thanks Marco
The wallpaper was a roll-end we just loved the colour and patterns but there wasn't enough to cover the end wall of our attic flat so we painted round the corner, cut the flowers out...
I have new amp with a whisper of noise on the headphone socket when it's used near computers/disk drives. I had been wondering if it was picking background noise up through an unconnected input and...
Now all sold
CD 65IISE with remote now sold on ebay - I can hardly believe it
Just to pass on some ebay amusement - the CD12 has attracted a number of identical bids all from similar Chinese semi-business accounts. If twenty people say it's worth 10p I'm bound to see the truth...
Cartridge suspension rubbers die, so do speaker surrounds, valves and transistors become unobtainable - there's a healthy market in spares for the top Philips models including belts, transports,...
I don't think the original value has much to do with the market price of classic hi-fi.
Regarding my CD12 - there's a broken CD12/DA12 on ebay at £1400 and a working example in S Yorks offered at...
Sunday bump - now on ebay - rather sell them here - Talk to me people!
