Well I’m well north of Watford. It does seem a bit odd that the east side of the country is considered more south than the centre and west. For example Norwich is about as far north as Birmingham....
Stoke is not really up north. I lived further north than Stoke for about quarter of my life but it was always considered the Midlands.
Not been to Stoke for many years. I was there about 30 years ago on a canal boat trip, had a good season in a pub by the canal at lunch time then up to Leek for the evening. Yes Stoke was a bit grim...
Sorry only just seen your post. First one buzzed fairly loudly, can be heard from 3m away. Allo have sent me another.
I had a demo with some Dyns, could not get on with them at all with Jazz, the cymbals just got irritating after a few minutes.
Sunny today but forecast was cloudy, but clouds are building up. Temp is 55F or 13C.
Some rain yesterday evening which was not forecast.
Yes dry here for a change. Seems like it has been a wet week but actually it has not been that wet, only about 12mm and the next few days look dry but cloudy.
Yesterday was meant to have been...
Actually tea in India was not bad and can be quite spicy, quite like those clay cups they used, better than plastic. Don't think I've had it with yak milk though. India runs on tea.
Would I want...
Iceland is quite damp. So is Scandinavia.
You are on the east side of Scotland?
It is an interesting one. I know near the equator the sun goes down fast and it's gets dark much quicker than say 4,000 miles north or south of the equator. In Iceland in June and July it does not...
Depends what Jazz you are playing, not all Jazz is plinky-plonk, what I might call lounge jazz.
We used to have a Canadian at work, she hated english winters although she was used to much colder weather, I think it was the damp that got to her, seems Canada is much drier cold. Also know someone...
I agree about tea abroad, most of it is stewed. They don't understand what stewed is. Some countries only have longlife milk, which is uck.
I have been to Iceland, I don't think it does get that much ice, Greenland certainly is more icy.
Not much rain in my area, only about 600mm a year, that is a lot less than some hot countries, in...
Is that correct? In winter yes the days are shorter but in summer the days are longer than down south. I was surprised how late the sun set in Scotland in May.
To be fair if you had got them over 6 years ago you would have got a decent payback but since then it has been reduced by the Govt.
This independent 'power consultancy' is now quoting £4k to replace them? If so I would be very wary.
I don't have them either, don't know a great deal. I wonder if you still get the Govt. payback even if they are not working?
How did she know the invertors were not working?
Was that in the 60s?
It depends when they were fitted, the Govt. payments have been falling. I did get a quote a few years ago but thought it was not worth it. You have to take into direction and shading as well. I think...
California, full of americans.
Northern Indian, yes I have been there, extreme weather, almost desert, baking hot during the day and cool at night, then there are other problems, Delhi belly, not...
Such as where?
Have you been to these places?
Some people like the weather. I know a photographer who lives near Stirling, loves it.
