Fair enough, and I'll comment more after the game, but I'm sorry, no matter how much you guys are 'joking', I'm not buying the 'Aberdeen automatically lie down to Celtic, as they hate Rangers', pish. Because that's what it is.
Today's game aside, as I haven't watched it yet, anytime we've beaten Aberdeen in the past, it's simply because we earned the right. Nothing else.
Marco.
;):lolsign: no team lies down; its not in the mentality, but they usually try harder v their biggest enemy; that is only natural. We are Aberdeen's enemy no1.. the fact they want to be our greatest enemy shows how far up themselves they get over pish Like that.... all because a Gers player sued one of theirs for a career theatening tackle.... and that is the only reason
Gers got the goal they deserved.. The big swede, Helander..
The old trouble tho. Gotta go a goal down before they start playing well. It doesn't win you titles
Helander to the rescue! Told ya he was quality;)
Seriously though, those types of late wins, home or away, ably demonstrates that Rangers have the determination and mental toughness to really challenge us this season. Like I said before, the head to head clashes between the two teams will be crucial, and I believe will ultimately decide who will finish as champions!
Just back from the flicks watching the new Terminator movie, which incidentally was FAB! Now watching the rest of the Celtic game... Bloody hell, just HOW GOOD was our third goal...??:eek::wow:
Marco.
Having watched the game now I think that Derek McInnes summed it up best on BBC Sport:
"We shipped four awful goals. The incisiveness and the speed of Celtic unnerved our players. The only way to combat that is by getting closer and showing no fear. During the game we were miles away."
Yes Aberdeen were poor, but they didn't not try or simply capitulate. I think too many folks, including crucially the Aberdeen players, bought into the notion that Celtic wouldn't be at their best, and a little lacklustre, after their midweek exertions in Europe [based on recent poor results in the league after such games], and simply were taken aback by how ruthless they were instead.
Celtic came out of the traps flying, and sought to kill the game off quickly, knowing that they would probably tire in the second half, and Aberdeen just had no answer to the speed and incisiveness of their play. And once Aberdeen were 4-0 down there was no chance for a 'Plan B'... The second half was indeed like a 'training exercise' for Celtic, and a total non-event, but that was simply because the game was done and dusted by then!
So yes, Aberdeen were poor, but Celtic were scintillatingly sensational, utterly ruthless, and just blew Aberdeen away!

3-0 at half time, great first half performance with Ryan Jack.
Good win tonight away from home, with Celtic also winning no change in the table.
Yup 4 to 0 away is a good result. Ross c have been playing well but we're nowhere near us tonight.
