The LA Audio A30 is arriving this morning -:eek:
Rated 6 ohm impedance so which speakers from my collection will be best presuming i can also use 8 ohm speakers to?
Heybrook Point 5
Ruark Talisman
Celestion A1 Compact
Linn Tukan
Tannoy Eclipse MK1
Acoustic Research AR20B
Tannoy 615 MK2
Rogers LS7
Kef Reference 103 / Kit 2
Audio Note ANJ/D
ARC 101
IMF ALS 40 MK2
Benchmark BM1 - Rated 4.2 Ohm max input 30 to 80 watts
Tannoy DC 1000
Thoughts as this is all new to me...?
I'll hazard a guess and say it will find the Audionotes to be the best match.
Yes if it's EL84 10-15 wpc definitely the ANs.

I like the new avatar. :)
I've seen the Dan Cave. :stalks::mental::smoking::confused::youtheman::wow ::clap::respect:
So, how's it going?
I reckon the amp will be able to drive any of the speakers you have there with no problem.
It's a gutsy wee beastie!
Afternoon Gerry it's Going really well I see the similarities with regarded to the leak stereo 20 my dad had one in 2011 but he had to sell at the time
Been using the Audio Note / Rogers and now trying the very sweet Ruark Talisman in love with all I have tried will be trying more during the next week This is the end game for me amplifier wise it's an astonishing bit of kit the price was a bargain very very happy indeed . The Dan cave is something I have worked on with different levels of kit some of it rare indeed sure impresses folk I'm done now the collection is complete.
Thanks again
That's great, Dan - I'm really pleased that you're pleased.
It is indeed an astonishing bit of kit.
EL84 have been my favourite power valve for a long time, I just love their clear open naturalness and control. And the LA Audio amp is a very good implementation, imho.
But I'm done with valves now, I think.
It's good that it's gone to an appreciative home.
Finding the LA audio a superb match with the Audio notes very happy indeed :eek::eek: valve converted its so addictive I can't stop listening
In the mean time a nostalgic purchase came my way a CYRUS ONE from 1984 I had one when I first joined the forum I ran Rogers LS7 then too so back to running a system I had in 2009 ... nostalgic buys are the best
The DC1000's should work well too.
