Nope, lol, but I never eat it that way. Always in a bowl. No Italian would ever eat spaghetti off of a flat plate!:nono: So that situation never arises..
How do you eat yours, shweety?:D
Marco.
Good stuff, Granty. Did you decide tae treat yersel tae a wee puddin'? :eyebrows:
Did you run out of Parmesan though, or don't you like the taste? Every time I see cheddar cheese though on pasta, it offends my sensibilities, lol. Soz..
Marco.
Lol, no worries. When you open a new block of Parmesan, once you've used what you need, do you just pop it back into it's plastic wrapping, and into the fridge?
If so, try putting it inside an airtight container instead, such as an old takeaway food carton, and put that in the fridge, and it'll stay fresh for ages then:)
Marco.
I try yo seal it in another bag. That but lasted near yo finish which isn't bad for just one of me.
Might see if you can freeze half of it. Or I might vacuum seal half of it. Its expensive stuff but worth it
No worries. Inside an old takeaway carton does the job for us. Do you have any?:)
You'll know though when it's past its best (regardless if it's off/past it's sell-by date or not), as it starts to go hard and a bit yellow (instead of soft and creamy white), then it just tastes nasty, and when grated, bitter. If it gets like that, it needs chucked, regardless, or used in a risotto.
Marco.
