OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?

Pan fried 28 day-matured Hereford fillet steak, cooked a point, with a black pepper sauce. Lightly fried chestnut mushrooms, carrots, green beans, peas, red pepper and oven chips.

Washed down with a glass or two of a 2020 Château Le Bonalguet, Bordeaux

A merlot based blend, 13.5% ABV.

Lunch was a bowl of beef and vegetable soup with some 'crisped-up' petit pain.

The other day I had what only can be described as "macaroni cheese on steroids".

Penne with a cheese (Red Leicester) sauce infused with flaked tuna fish. On top was a 6 minute boiled egg, with red pepper, corgettes, brocolli and green beans.

Might all look a bit strange, but it was delicious.

Lemon tart (with some single cream) for dessert.

Love poached smoked haddock. Needs a poached egg on top, some peas and chips. ;)

Feather cut steak with a fresh tomato & tarragon sauce, saute pots, green beans. Couldn't resist a bottle of red, if only I could drink one or two glasses then stop. Xmas day might be pheasant or guinea fowl, or perhaps a beef steak on the bone cut, very expensive though, while pheasants are only a fiver!
