French butter, ham hock and Chaource cheese saw quite a lot of it off...
Here's the sourdough fermentation just prior to baking.

Looks good Roy.
Local butcher Gloucester sausages. Too hot for them but they had to be eaten up. Very good quality porkers I reckoned.
Reheated mash from a few days ago. Fresh homemade onion gravy.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b6e9374200.jpg

Roy try freekeh. I had some yesterday at Bill's (a chain).
This looks rubbish I think. It was outstanding.
The first time I have had freekeh. It wasn't the highlight but I spent 5 minutes with the waitress trying to find out what it was. It's an alternative to rice. And a very good one.
Google/Wiki it for more.

The local butcher has been selling huge ham hocks for £2.99. Sometimes roasted, sometimes boiled. It is outstanding value once you cut past the fat, of which there is usually loads. Even so, there's loads of meat in them too!
The hock you see was a boiled one. Very nice indeed.
That's where I looked but I reckon the local Waitrose might have some if I am lucky...

Those all look very nice, but FOUR chops Roy! You must have been a very hungry boy!
As it’s winter, I’m doing a Sunday roast as opposed to the normal BBQ...
They were quite thin [emoji6]
Had a day out in Leigh-on-Sea today, had pork belly at ‘The Peterboat,

Belly looks good.
Invented fish recipe. There's a lot more in there than meets the eye.
If I knew about the chemicals they put in the water to farm that trout I doubt I would have made it...:D

That looks SUPERB, Geoff - fab presentation! Justers, your Asian-style stuff looks fab as usual:respect:
Lovin' some of the scran that's been posted recently, while I've been on hols... First meal back, chez-nous (homemade fettuccini al ragu), washed down with a quality Lambrusco-like wine we brought back from Italy - cheap as chips, but very nice:

interestingly, I said to Del that despite all the wonderful pasta we'd enjoyed in Italy, this was every bit as good!
Marco.

Ham & eggs looks good, Roy-boy, but bread and butter AND a ton of chips (plus FOUR cock-a-doodle doos)?:lol:
So stodgy and British!!:D
Justers, that's 'junk food' at its best... Now and then I love shit like that. My weakness is in Germany, for Bratwurst (with loads of onions and mustard), or even better, Currywurst and chips!
Anyway, I had a slightly healthier lunch... Del's homemade mushroom risotto, with a touch of Mascarpone:

...washed down with a rather nice Chianti, which we brought back from Italy, at less than 3 Euros a bottle!:D:mental::cheers:
Marco.
