Ha - oh yes, the Welsh just LURVE the English... Having lived here for years, I can confirm it!:eyebrows:;)
You'll be working in South Wales though, near Cardiff and Swansea, which is a VERY different place from here.
I miss the cosmopolitan nature of Glasgow, but I love it in North Wales, as I live in a quiet suburb of Wrexham, well away from all the dafties, am 10 mins drive from proper rural countryside and some lovely little villages that 'time has forgotten', 35 mins from some beautiful [quiet and unspoiled] beaches, and within easy driving distance of Chester, Liverpool and Manchester, if I want to 'do the city thing', or access an airport.
There's virtually no traffic congestion, roads are mostly empty [which is great for the Brabster] and there's loads of free parking in the centre of Wrexham, where you can always find a space - and easy access to all the shops you need, plus the climate is generally good, with not too much rainfall - and there's a pretty decent pub within less than 3 mins walk from my door.
The only thing I'd like more is to live in a rural village (as I enjoy country village life), as opposed to the outskirts of Wrexham, but one can't have everything!
Marco.
