Actually I thought there s more vitamin s in frozen food than fresh ?. Especially if fresh food is left around for a few days.

See the reply I've just posted to Alex... If it was only about vitamins, I'd pop some tablets. Food, however, should *always* be tasty (full of flavour), and thus enjoyable to eat! it's not just simply about filling you up.
Frozen carrots, for example, just taste of water, and the likes of frozen broccoli or cauliflower is just dreadful, as apart from anything else, it goes all mushy and loses its texture.
Plus, our fresh veg is always quickly prepared and eaten. It doesn't hang around for long. My wife's veggie, and between us we eat LOTS of it:)
Marco.
Your custard pie looks very good, Andy! I don't have a particularly sweet tooth, at least not for cakes and such like. In terms of desserts, I'm more of a (good) chocolate mousse, crème brûlée or zabaglione kind of guy. Enjoy, though:cool:
Marco.
Nice one. I could recommend a Spanish dessert wine, which would go perfectly with it!;)
Marco.
Lol - was that whilst playing footy in the park, or some other kind of 'grass action'?:eyebrows:

Something quick, easy and nutritious - a baked potato with tuna and mayonnaise filling, garden peas, green beans, brocolli and sweetcorn. A couple of mandarines for dessert.
That was nice. My old recipe.
Did it in pics for folk.
Spaghetti Carbonara.
In this case I used Linguine.

Hey, Tony, that *really* is a small bit of Sirloin:eyebrows: Veg looks great, though!
Marco.
Sorry, only just seen this!
I cheat and use any Ciabatta mix, cube about 2oz of Cheddar and chop a good tablespoon of Jalapeno slices. Mix it up as per the recipe (350ml of warm water & 1 tbsp Olive Oil) and off you go (about 15 mins at 200C)

10% organic rye at 70% hydration loaf. What that means is for 700g of flour, 440g is water, or 440ml.
White flour is 630g Duchy Organic. Rye flour is 70g. Three tablespoons of oil. See photos.
Pot bake method. Attempted some breads art but it splayed open more than expected! Has a sort of pork pie look to it:D

Thanks Tony and Grant.
Must go back to sourdough haven't made any for a while. Commercial yeasts are convenient but they make comparitively bland loaves.
This still tastes better than many commercial loaves that claim to be sourdough, but a real homemade sourdough seems to beat anything you can buy, even from artisan bakers.
Outrageous claim? Start bread making as a hobby and you'll soon see where I am coming from.
Insider porn. Toasting now...:)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a2d78de112.jpg
