Nice, just eating my supper now
Had a big lunch, so a quick supper, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, radishes, cucumber and coleslaw, just to equalise that healthy stuff, a pork pie too.
For Sunday pud. Salted caramel portfolios

Nice, Granty. A touch of single pouring cream, drizzled over the top, would add a little 'wetness' and finish the pud off nicely! :)
Marco.
4 hot out of the pan homemade scotch eggs, with a dollop of ketchup and a pinch of salt to dip them in.
A twice a year treat, yummy!
Yup. There's nothing like a good scotch egg. Trouble is, most shop ones are 'nothing like a good scotch egg'!
They taste great cut in half and given a big dollop of good mayonaise with pepper on.
Answer? Make your own (as Rich does)! ;)
Marco.
Lol.... Buy your own pan, mate, and tell them that if anyone else uses it, they'll be WEARING it!! ;)
Marco.
Ah gotcha... I just like things to be as tasty as possible. Same with your steak, which looked nice, but some pan juices poured over the top/some form of sauce, or a little Dijon mustard on the side, to dip the slices of steak into, would've been just the ticket for me :)

Now what to eat...
Maybe a steak, maybe not... maybe homemade Japanese Gyoza dumplings.... can't decide... I'm certainly peckish :D
Takeaway night, house special biryani with a stuffed naan. Mia the cat had Felix cod and tuna in jelly, she loves the jelly, and a slice of ham with her worming tablet secreted inside.
What's all this talk of food? This is the 'tea' thread! :)
I never eat after 9pm anyway. Or before noon.
just a bowl of Aldi icecream .. lovely stuff
Odd dinner today.. lasagne and roast potatoes.
Lamb curry, home made (not by me), plain rice and green peas, was very nice, will have some fruit when I find room! Feral cat had 3 slices of ham, she still hisses at me when I approach with food.
A friend brought in a nice cake, no room for that at the moment.

As long as you enjoyed it mate, that's the important thing! :D
However, those are two ingredients you'd *never* see on any genuine Italian pizza, including pineapple, stuffed crusts or any other such bollox....
Marco.

Not that big one them in general but at a push it will fill a space. tomorrow will be sweet n sour chicken and rice with bits of egg and peas in it... not chinese I know but cheap n cheerful

A classic Margherita, cooked in a wood oven. If you want any more topping, pop on some Salami or strips of Parma ham! :)
Marco.
Didn't have time for anything fancy, so a baked potato filled with a tuna and mayonnaise mix with baked beans on the side. However to 'elevate' matters, I had it with a glass of 2015 Bordeaux.
Orange for dessert - just to help with the "5 a day".
Sweet potato buttered mash, chopped greens and chicken in white sauce. Grand daughter's favourite!
Beer battered haddock drizzled in lemon and cracked pink salt

Chicken and leeks in white wine sauce with lemon thyme roast potatoes, then raspberry panna cotta
Sounds nice, mate. I'm having home-made spinach and ricotta cannelloni! :)
Might even open up a wee winey, too :eyebrows:
Marco.
It was lovely. and enough for tomorrow too. washed down with elderflower presse.
Nice one, hopefully you won't have to 'press' one out afterwards! :D
