heinz are robbers. the supermarket own brands are usually as good if not better and a fraction of cost; they usually just need a squirt of sauce added

Heinz baked beans are popular because they contain a large amount of sugar.
Yet they didn't do that well in Which? taste test. I think brand identity has a lot to do with their popularity. It's a name everyone knows and associates with quality :scratch:
I found a long time ago that I prefer Branston's beans, but Anita gets Heinz for simplicity as her dopey son won't eat any other brand. If it was up to me he could sod off and sort his own buying and cooking, preferably somewhere else.
