Sure, but it does if you know the butcher well, from buying his produce often [count me in], and thus what goes into his sausages. Therefore, in my case I know that the 80% (or whatever) meat content is GOOD meat!
I don't eat sausages often either (tonight's were the first in about 3 months), but when I do, I like nice ones, and served as pictured!:)

I remember my old mum eating a cornish pasty and pulling out a completer eye lid with all the hairs attached :spew:
So have you gone veggie now then, daftee?

Oh I know, which I why I never eat them! Here, it's free-range or nothing, plus the taste is in a different league.
It wouldn't take much for me to turn veggie, as I love all sorts of fresh veg, and Del knows how to cook it really well, plus I love pasta, rice and salads, all fish and some seafood. The only thing I'd *really* miss is lamb cutlets and pork ribs, plus certain chicken dishes. I've never been a big beef lover.
However I could easily give up meat for, say, six weeks, as I do with alcohol during Lent! That wouldn't bother me in the slightest:)

Makes me ill looking at things like that...:(
Animal welfare is of paramount importance to me, and that's one of the reasons why I like to know where the meat I'm eating has come from and how it's been treated.
