Lol... I'm the type who, just to annoy the snobs in the queue behind us in Waitrose, would take great pleasure in pulling out a Farmfoods bag [if I owned such a thing], and say to Del, in a broad Glasgow accent, how I couldn't wait to get home and get the chicken nuggets and oven chips on!:eyebrows:
Marco.
But you don't/can't know that's what they're doing (unless they tell you so); you're just surmising.
I have used the same wine merchant for more than 35 years. They've been excellent and I have no wish to buy wine from anywhere else.

No I'm not. My wife used to be friendly with one of them (next door neighbour) when we lived up in Scotland, and she eventually admitted it! She also used to copy us, so every time we got something new for our house, she did the same, curtains, kitchen, you name it, including cars!!
Needless to say my wife eventually fell out with her... It's one of the reasons why we vowed never to live somewhere again with immediate neighbours!
I always speak from experience, Joe, so don't contradict me when you don't know the facts.
That's fine, but it sounds like you're stuck in a rut and a bit unadventurous. Plus, you'll always be limited to what they sell. I like to buy wine from various sources, and experiment, plus also seek out good bargains.Quote:
