Yesterday's lunch 'al fresco' - the weather was great, unlike today (currently pissing down):
Saltimbocca alla Romana (should be veal, but in this case pan-fried chicken breast) in butter, with button mushrooms, Parma ham and fresh sage, in a white wine and Marsala sauce, with Dauphinoise potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli mornay, accompanied by beetroot and sweet potato with fresh garlic and thyme:

Marco.
God, that's making me hungry! :-)
Cheers, mate. It was really nice - one of my favourite classic Italian dishes!:)
I forgot to take pics of the starter and pudding, which was grilled salmon, wrapped in tinfoil, with fresh lemon grass, chilli, coriander, with samphire and sliced red peppers. The fish came out nicely succulent, with a lovely 'jus', and with which the salmon had infused all the flavours. Pudding was homemade fresh lemon posset with homemade shortbread biscuits.
Marco.
Cheesy vegetable and pasta bake tonight.
Veg cooking at the moment. Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peas and sweetcorn. Red kidney beans and sliced mushroome to add later. I'll be using a jar of ready made creamy tomato and herb sauce, plus loads of Cheddar and a bit of butter, salt and black pepper. May bung some dried Basil in too, I don't have fresh handy.
You think that will keep me happy!
I've just had breakfast! Did not feel like anything this morning, was intending to have strawberries and Aldi imitation Wheetabix. Had this just now. I like the Aldi imitation better than the real thing, texture nicer, nicer taste, and low in sugar.
