I was surprised how much the loaf above opened up given the top slit I put in it prior to bake. That's bread for you - being a live medium you're never quite sure of the end results unless you pretty much do exactly the same thing every bake. Dead boring if you ask me. But I do like to bake hard to get a great crunchy crust on such loaves.

Yup great thing about bread making was you never quite knew what you would get. Like taking pics and sending them away to be processed

I'm planning roast chicken with sweet potato mash, peas and baked baby carrots. Not forgetting a drop of gravy!

I had roast chicken yesterday and a prawn salad the day before. I'll keep simple today, either sausages or eggs with chips 'n beans I think!

Yes red pepper, pearl barley etc. (probably easier to say what's not in it). Not really stew weather but it hit the spot with a few slices of seeded batch.

There was some sauce from stew left so I added some cooked chicken, spiced it up and had it with wholemeal pasta
