Today's lunch... Roasted poussin (small chicken), served with an orange, fresh oregano and sherry sauce, topped with bacon, and served with boiled new potatoes in butter and fresh parsley, garden peas, green beans broccoli and cauliflower:

...washed down with a rather lovely Syrah/Grenache Pays D'Oc. Both hit the spot nicely!:)

Cheers, mate. We bought the fresh poussin separately in Tesco and cooked the rest from scratch, with all fresh ingredients, which is better than anything pre-prepared from a supermarket, although I'm sure the Waitrose spicy poussin is good. The sauce with mine was really nice, but of course you could make it spicy, by rubbing in some chillies, or Harissa would be good I think, or anything else you like:cool:
I'm not big on chicken breast on its own (finding it rather dry and bland) - I like moist juicy meat, and munching on some bones!:D
