You must be off your food Roy, my son (age 7) demolishes 4 chipolatas in seconds. And I know you're allegedly "The King of Chips" but he'd wolf those down and want more... He'd move the beans around the plate though, and eggs? No chance!

Like those ham shanks, Granty, and you're bang on about the 'Chitarra' pasta!:)
Anyway, just enjoyed the following al fresco, as it's another gorgeous sunny day here, currently 20C....
Barbecued chicken thighs (marinated in a spicy red-pepper puree, chill peppers, ketchup, and middle-eastern spice called Zatar), served with a due of salads, one with baby new potatoes, radishes and celeriac, coated in freshly ground horseradish, dijon mustard, mayonnaise, lemon juice, fresh chives and tarragon. The other, apple, celery, pineapple and walnut, coated in a natural yogurt dressing with fresh lemon juice:

One of the nicest rosé wines I've had, so smooth, full-bodied and gorgeously fruity, with almost no 'edge' and very low-acidity. When nicely chilled, perfect spring/summer drinking, and only £5.99 a bottle!
Marco.
