Kentucky fried chicken tenders

Just the chicken Grant? Looks really nice, but I’d have wanted fries... :)
Proper comfort food tonight, beef stew and dumplings, far too much on the plate only managed half!

Yesterday, chicken thighs in honey and soy marinade with pak choi, brown rice with sunflower and sesame seeds:

Today, left over marinated chicken thighs with salad (the thighs went really well with the mango in the salad :) )

Steak (16oz rump which I braised a bit to make it easier to eat) & chips.

Yum yum!
Some great grub posted recently here, chaps! Enjoyed this tonight, although it may be too much of a 'veggie hit' for some lol, Del's homemade hot and sour soup, topped with fresh coriander:

There's chicken somewhere in there too - promise!:D
Marco.
P.S Apologies for the slightly out of focus pics.
Guinea fowl with wild mushrooms cooked in red wine and chicken stock, its rather nice.Mashed potato and cavelo nero on the side makes for hearty autumn dinner, alongside a bottle of beau.
Don’t think I’ve ever had hot and sour soup, Marco, looks good, will have to look into that one further!
Guinea fowl sounds nice... but we need a pic Mike!
Is the lasagne a ready meal one Grant? Looks good, not done lasagne for ages, might do that this week as I’m off work for half term and we’re not going away anywhere, just the odd “staycation” day’s out. :)
Ordered a kebab to save my leg.
A chicken and doner.
Was damn goodhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...89355c3a27.jpg
Does look a nice kebab Grant, sometimes you just can’t beat a mucky takeaway! I would have had to have at least a handful of chips at home, although of course 30 years ago on the way home from a club at 2am I would just have had the kebab, woken up in someone’s garden several hours later with congealed lamb fat on my shoes and trousers, and chilli sauce on my shirt!
I've got lots if donar and a nan for breakfast.. [emoji39]
We take it in turns to choose Saturday night dinner - this week was my choice so we had fillet steak with all the trimmings, I decided rather too late to top mine with some of Mrs Temple’s Binham Blue - one of my favourite blue cheeses, from Norfolk. Tamzin handled the after dinner coffees! (No marshmallows were harmed in the production of said beverages!)

Feeling lazy today, so went out to our favourite local pizzeria.
Lightly beechwood-smoked spicy salami, organic tomato, mozzarella, caramelised red onion, chilli oil and fresh basil pizza. With a roasted butternut squash, grilled artichoke, roasted baby tomatoes, goat's cheese, roasted walnut and mixed leaf salad on the side.
Glass of Tenuta Normanno; a Sicilian wine using exclusively Nero d'Avola grape. 12.5% ABV.
Cooked up some chipolatas for tomorrow I think.
Gonna make a Tikka, well I've part made it.
Think I will make a sausage pasta tomorrow.
Cooked up first in oil in fry pan then moved to the air frier to finish them off.
Lovely taste https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c5ef1557e4.jpg
Chipolata Tikka sounds interesting!
Chipolatas involved in our dinner too, can’t have roast chicken without pigs in blankets and stuffing balls!

Using up some leftovers - so a bit of an intercontinental "mash up":
Spirali pasta (Italy), Falafels (Middle East), roasted grape tomatoes and onions, with green beans and brocolli spiced up with ginger and chilli (West African).
Washed down with a glass of 2020 Gallo Family rosé. White Zinfandel grape, 8% ABV (California, USA)
A Braeburn apple for dessert (UK)
Cooked a big bit of roast beef in the foodi on pressure. 70 mins on high and then 35 mins slow release. I used a Greek politico marinade as the sauce to cool it in. They impart a superb flavour. Just add a packet to a little hottish water and it'll thin down as its a paste.
Meat is superbly tender and tasty.

A chicken dinner ready meal.
Tasty enough. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2848c04438.jpg
Simple roast beef and potatoes.
Easy and quick as beef was cooked the other day.

Vegetarian night - Fliss made a Pithivier (beetroot, onion, garlic, lentils, butternut squash, cashew nuts and spinach in puff pastry) very tasty.
I plan to have some cold tomorrow with Feta and tomato salad :)

Cheese and onion pasty and slim chips.

Should maybe have photographed the lasagne before the gannets had demolished most of it!

Has Marco given up eating? [emoji6]
Just the one food pic from me hols, cod and chips in Sandown, chips were too skinny and batter was too thick but anyway…
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...09dc387e28.jpg
batter and chips:D
Fish (haddock) and chips and mushy peas for me too, from the local(ish) chippy - I’m stuffed and there was quite a lot left over. Was lovely. :)
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b4439d5ecc.jpg
not big on mushy peas but the fish n chips look superb.. yum
Not sure how long they’ve been running it, but it could easily still be in the 1960’s - they only take cash, for example! (It was only after COVID hit that they stopped using newspaper for the outer wrapping!) One guy I was talking to in the queue does a 38 mile round trip as he says they are the best in Suffolk. Certainly the best we’ve found so far, and only an 11 mile round trip for me!

We are big of good fish n chips here and that passes muster looks wise with the best
Went out to pizza express tonight, jalapeńo dough balls and this pizza with spinach, black olives and an egg in the middle (this should provoke a reaction from Marco [emoji6])
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...69896f6665.jpg
Lasagne.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a94bab775d.jpg
quite nice it was
A bed of rice is ok but chips are made to be a little crunchy and anything that makes them soggy or dripping in grease should be on the side.
Seems to be the way restaurants serve it these days &, to be fair, the fish wasn't 'dripping in grease'. Should have made do with the Happy Haddock in the High Street but fancied wine with it.
Don't really understand that, do you mean why the peas and sauce are in individual pots? Where's the double handling?
Never had battered fish with rice, that would be odd.
Burger and chips with hp sauce https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5acddf88e1.jpg
Honestly don’t remember ever eating a burger not in a bun with all the trimmings, which is of course why I’m such a lard ass! Rarely have HP sauce on anything which is actually strange because I really like it! Anyway, looked a good dinner.
