We had homemade birthday cake when we got home, thank goodness!

Pork Stroganoff tonight, was really tasty, but continuing the theme of chewy pork…

Some great dinners there Barry!
On my little North Norfolk trip with the kids, first night was our perennial favourite, Byfords in Holt.
I had the Black and Blue burger, which features my favourite cheese, locally produced Binham Blue. It was delicious.

Daughter had the Belly Pork, which she said was awesome.

And my son didn’t even look at the menu as although it was 3 years since our last visit he talks almost weekly about how he loves their Breakfast Pizza - which is exactly that, but he asks for it without black pudding.

They both had pudding, but I can’t remember exactly what - I think one is white chocolate and raspberry torte

And this is I think caramel and pecan cheesecake.

We’ve been here dozens of times over the years and it never fails to impress - highly recommended if you ever find yourself in this beautiful part of our country.
Last night was a camp BBQ, I burned the sausages, so no close up pictures! But they enjoyed it.

Tonight we went to The Kings Arms in Blakeney. I last went there 30+ years ago, and it has hardly changed. Given some of the prices charged here the cost is very reasonable and the food good and staff very friendly. The kids both had burgers (again…. )
Which they both said were superb, and they’ve tried enough to know…

I went for the special board lamb kofte. Very tasty, and lots of healthy salad!

No pudding tonight as they were too full, and now tucked in their sleeping bags awaiting the impending storms…
So I am now making the most of it with some chilled tunes on my makeshift portable hi-fI rig and an enamel mug of Rioja.

Bloody heck !!! Where's the time gone ? I can remember the kids as toddlers.
