Snowed in today, so working from home. Need some serious cold weather food!
Dijon and Maple Chicken thighs on a bed of grilled veg and wheatberries, with fondant potato and green beans.

Looks smashing
In bleak comparison, Lidl chicken and bacon pie, shredded Savoy cabbage with chilli flakes, chips and gravy.
Not bad at all really.
Some fruit to follow, grapes and a tangerine.
My kitchen, unheated, before doing the food was at 4.2 Deg. C. I wonder if this is a record!
Just get a decent spud (Maris Piper etc). Turn it into a puck by taking a slice off top and bottom, then peel it and put a 45 degree chamfer on the top and bottom edges.
Heat about 150g of butter in a deep sided frying pan until foaming then place the ‘pucks’ in the butter for about 5 minutes each side until nicely browned.
In the meantime, make up some Chicken Stock (enough to cover 3/4 up the sides of the potato).
When the potato is browned, add the chicken stock - be careful, it will get a bit lively at first!!
Then add a smashed clove of garlic and a couple of sprigs of fresh rosemary. Turn the heat down a little and let the stock cook into the potatoes until soft.
Then enjoy [emoji4]

Sounds lush!!
Tonight we were short of spuds so I grabbed a bag of Macaroni , and boiled it. Put 6 slices of finely chopped bacon with an onion and popped it in the oven for 20 mins to brown it!
Made a white sauce with some yellow mustard and a packet of Lidl cheese sauce mix and a chunk of old cheese :eyebrows:
Mixed it all together
Macaroni cheese with a topping of red fox grated and celery salt thyme!
With a tin of chopped tomatoes
Lovely stuff as usual, Tony! However, do you not top and tail your green beans?
Bad boy :spank:
:D;)
Marco.
Yesh I've heard that:eyebrows:
