Ninja, cheap spuds don't make great chips, they were fine but had better results with King Edwards & Desirees.

Other way is to just give them full power until they just start to burn on edges. Usually about bang on as long as they are not too thick cut. That way about 14/15 mins if pan is hot first is plenty.
Fish n chips looks nice. Batter especially looks that slightly chewy way I like
Lovely grub on here lately guys. A slipped disc has limited output from this end lately but I felt up to baking so I made a Frankenstein Sandwich from the contents of the fridge. To be fair, it tasted bloody epic. [emoji4]
