You have got me thinking - I haven't had samphire for a few years now and I do like it (with a piece of smoked cod and new potatoes).
I could get some from the banks of the river Stour, not too long a walk from where we live, but never been brave enough to risk it as the Stour can be a bit mucky.
Edit: by the way, excellent combination in the meal it really appeals.
Hairy Bikers "keema lamb curry" for us tonight with oven baked "buffalo cauliflower wings" (cauliflower in a spiced batter), popadoms and some chutney.
served with a couple of bottles of Abbot for me (holds its own with spiced food:))
If I get a chance I will take a photo once it is done (my wife would take the piss if she caught me photographing food).
Churz - it did slip down rather well:)
I don't have samphire often (depends where it's available), but when I see it, I buy it, as it goes beautifully with fish, adding a delightful salty note to proceedings. I get why your wife would laugh at your photographing food, but just tell her to humour you, so you can join in here with the daftees!:D
Marco.
She caught me - my, how she laughed
Then she tasted some.......she's not laughing now :) (with apologies to Bob Monkhouse)

I decided to add a spinach bhaji and a chick pea side dish - quite got in to cooking while listening to Sarah Cox on R2
Grant’s fish and chips inspired me but couldn’t decide between scampi or fish fingers so had both.
