no waitrose near me so never been in one that i know of. M&S stuff is usually decent. I get my Black from a local butcher along with white; both from Stornaway.

soup looks similar to what i had on xmas day, bar the peas
Leftover ham soup, but I added Parmesan rind and Wensleydale cheese and made a roux to thicken. Worked well I was getting a bit bored with straight ham soup.
So just peas, carrots, onion, garlic, butter, olive oil, chicken stock, grain mustard, pepper and potato.
Freezed loads.
Sausage and mash, one drenched in onion and field mushroom gravy.
The wife actually likes this dish.
