Lol, no not on this occasion, just a lid, otherwise it would've been too filling. Had the pie been for lunch, which is when I have my main meal of the day, rather than at night, when I prefer to eat lighter, then it would've had a base:)
Lots of lovely succulent chunks of prime beef inside though, plus a rich and very tasty gravy!:cool:
Next time she makes one, I'll spoon some out onto the plate, to show what's inside.
