Minced beef & onion from Iceland. They really weren't very good, tasteless bits in bland gravy pie would be more appropriate. Enjoyed the mash more.

I also love how you had two pies instead of the normal one.... Disappointed though that there are no chips on the side!:D

Yes, home made mash using Albert Bartlett potatoes (they seem to be a good 'all rounder') with plenty of butter, whole milk (Cravendale) & seasoning.

Only ate one of the pies & didn't enjoy that, meat pies are off the menu for a bit after that experience.

Chips & mash would've been preferable!

Regarding home-cooked meals, I have a backlog of images in my camera to show. I'll drip feed them over the next few weeks.

We have replaced the crockery, but the new stuff probably still looks '70s style to you. ;)

I usually quite enjoy a cheap & cheerful 'mystery meat' pie but these have put me right off 'em.

As long as I'm able to boil a pot of pasta I won't resort to ready meals (whenever I make pasta sauce I always make more than I need so there are a couple of servings to freeze for future use).
