Yeah, you know what I mean though, unless things have changed since I was last up, you don't really see mushy peas in Scottish chippies... Yes or no?
Personally, I don't 'do' tinned peas or indeed, sweetcorn aside (and occasionally Puy lentils), any tinned veg. So usually only good quality frozen peas, or fresh if they're in season and decent. Quite enjoy de-podding them! Then steam/boil them and serve simply with some melted butter [and I mean BUTTER, not marge shite] and freshly-ground black pepper on top... Noice:)
