Nice one. That's the sort of thing that appeals to me with the good weather coming in. Hot stuff with custard (pies, etc), for me, is winter food!:)

Nice... Do you like your ice-cream all melted like that though? I prefer mine in balls, still with some 'bite'/texture to it.
I like your sauce, although the one Del's done is smoother (concentrated), without any fruit bits or seeds in. Pics later!:)
Marco.
Nice one, yeah I like compotes, but this is more of a fruit coulis. Like you, I love waffles with ice-cream, but it's just a bit too filling for what I'm wanting on this occasion.
Not big on really soft/runny ice-cream though, although I understand why yours ended up that way. My pet hate is that soft 'Mr Whippy' shite, ice-cream vans sell now, which is processed artificial crap, and has never seen fresh milk/cream and/or a vanilla pod! Don't like the 'soft scoop' stuff sold either in supermarkets, as chemicals are added to facilitate that.
Remember when ice-cream vans used to sell *proper* vanilla ice-cream in 'balls' on top of cones, which was the real McCoy (usually homemade by Italian families running the vans and/or cafes)?:)
Marco.
This is what REAL ice-cream looks like (love waffle cones, too):

Nice colour
Yeah, you see what I mean, though? REAL ice-cream, contains fresh DAIRY products. How anyone, other than kids, can eat that plastic, artificial, processed 'Mr Whippy' shite, I've no idea. It should never have been allowed to effectively replace real ice-cream in vans and/or seaside shops/cafes.
That's the problem though, when you prioritise cheapness/convenience over quality:rolleyes:
Marco.
Lots of proper Italian ice cream around here usually, but they’re all closed just now.
That is of course Scottish Italian ice cream
Indeed, Robin, starting with The Bluebird cafe!;)
You know what I mean though, would you entertain that 'Mr Whippy' shite, and can you also remember when ice-cream vans sold the same type of ice-cream, the likes of which is sold in the Bluebird?:)
It was put onto cones in 'balls', using a special tool, which you dipped into water, to stop the ice-cream from sticking. Now all the lazy bassas have to do is press a button, and out comes some swirly 'white diarrhoea'!!
