Lol, I blame my last sourdough culture for it tbh. I think it went funny and poisoned me.
Never been well with bread since. Think I made a soda once and it was OK.
Sodabread is easy. 5 mins and bang it in oven. You've got to be quick as when you combine the wet with the dry the raising reaction starts and only lasts for about 10 mins. So fast as you can combine the better. Have everything ready.
I use American soda powder as its double rise. You get the standard rise as in chemical reaction of the acid, plus it rises with heat as well.

1 Red and 1 green chillies, 2 cloves of garlic all chopped super tiny, juice of a lemon, half-a-teaspoon of cumin and salt and pepper. Very simple but tasted great. [emoji846]Quote:
