Did my first from scratch falafels last night. Very tasty, learned a lot when trying to combine the ingredients, and I need a bigger blender... next time I will pre-pulse the chickpeas on their own in smaller batches, then add in the herbs, garlic, onion and spices.
As far as meat substitutes go, I don’t think it gets better than either quality dried mushrooms (like in a porcini mushroom risotto using the soaking water as stock), or falafel.
I love Falafel, have made them a few times, but the full accessories (salads pickles etc.) take a lot of effort.

Very basic place, good price, very good selection of salads etc. Staff very friendly.
