That looks melt in the mouth, Roy.
It was my son’s 12th birthday yesterday so we went to a local pub/restaurant that does Lithuanian food. I wanted something light, so ordered the grated potato pancakes with smoked salmon and cream cheese sauce. It was far from light! Very tasty but I left about half of the potato.

I suppose I am Northern compared to Roy but I agree, mushy peas is a must with a chippy tea!
It’s the Crown at Crowfield - it’s been taken over by the people that ran the Magpie on the A140 at Little Stonham.
They do a lot of English/pub stuff too. My son had a full English breakfast! Wife, daughter and in-laws all had a pork steak with cheese and mushroom sauce and mash. We had a selection of starters to share, including cheesy garlic bread which was deep fried, squid, mozzarella sticks, chicken strips and nachos (home made, they were really good) and to be honest, we didn’t really need the main courses!
I would say that everything Lithuanian seems very greasy and dripping in cheese, (not a criticism, just an observation on their cuisine) and all of the portions were huge. They do a good selection of kebabs so I think I would go for one of them next time.
It’s a Sunday, the sun is shining so it’s BBQ time again. [emoji4]
