Yeah, lol... As long as the batter's thin and crispy (which it so often isn't in takeaways, rather thick and stodgy - yuk), then I prefer balls to Cantonese or Peking Style sweet & sour, as so often it's done badly, bits all soggy/mushy and stuck together!:nono:
This place I go to is the opposite, and their balls are always perfect!:D Plus, with the balls, you get separate sauce (and more of it) than the other way, and as you know I'm a sauce freak!
They also put nice chunks of pineapple and tomato in their sauce too, and it has just the right consistency and balance of sweet vs. sour, which really hits the spot. Oh, and their egg-fried rice is also epic.
