Phily cheese steak.
Had to have a go. Fed up with Americans going on about how great they are.
For this according to the American cheese steak bosses you need a soft cheap roll. 45p from Sainsbury's.
And some really shitty cheese. Really you need cheese whizz. But only Asda sell it over here as it is owned by Walmart. So I had to use processed cheese slices.
Provalone is also acceptable for another variant. Couldn't find any.
I used 30 day ribeye for the meat. Freeze it for 45 minutes to allow you to chop it up small. Fry with an onion.
Is it any good? Cheese whizz would make it more moist but actually it is pretty good. Next time I am in Asda I will get some.
