Just melted butter (as long as a good quality one is used), and cracked black pepper, is a great 'sauce' to have with fresh pasta. If you can, try using European, not British butter, as it's quite different (lighter and not as 'fatty' tasting, whiter in colour, too), something such as President would be fine.
It works because you *really* taste the pasta that way. Next time, try it also with some fresh sage. 'Burro e Salvia', with ravioli, is a classic in Tuscany (the video's in Italian though, so you'll just need to look at the pics):
