OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?
Slow cooker is on. Beef brisket in beer.
Onions, carrots, celery (veg sweated down and beef sprinkled in salt and seared off first).
Bottle of Czech beer, pint of beef stock, couple of tablespoons of tomato paste, couple of bay leaves, 6x crushed whole garlic cloves, fresh rosemary from the garden, couple of pinches of dried thyme, lots of freshly ground black pepper.

Just had a taste, I have a little magic ingredient if I want a tad more sweetness and tang in stews and braises, which is a good tablespoon of HP Sauce. [emoji4]

OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?
From my slow cook over the weekend. Spuds were done using a mandoline to get an even thin slice, like very very thick crisps. Then mixed with garlic oil, salt and pepper, with a few sprigs of rosemary, then into the oven. Kale was steamed, carrots fished out of the slow cooker.
Slow cooking juice was sieved and finished with cornflour and butter to make the gravy.
