Cheers, they were good. Yours sound nice too, and something we've also done before. We don't have pancakes (or crepes) often, but more than just one a year, maybe three or four times, depending on if we we're entertaining.

I think you'd rather enjoy the lunch or dinner parties we have, especially when Del pulls all the stops out and really goes to town, and I'm backing her up with all the wines and cocktails!;)

Yup, mate. You're paying way over the odds for the convenience, and with Italian cuisine, often also through the nose for glorified 'peasant foods', which in Italy were eaten by the poor, now having become considered as 'fashionable'...

The reason why a butter and sage sauce would've been used, back in the day, was when people couldn't afford meat! In farmhouses, they'd have made their own pasta (and butter) from scratch, and the sage would've come from their herb garden - and all for pennies!:)

Anyway, when you visit, Del says you've to let her know what your favourite foods/dishes are, and also your favourite uniform for her to serve them in:lol::D;)

IMO, these are about the best fresh (vacuum-sealed) Tortelloni, available from a UK supermarket, in this case Lidl... Really nice quality pasta and filling, and which can handle a bit of heat (without turning all sloppy), which I find is generally the case with fresh pasta from supermarkets, even the 'poshest' stuff, usually because it's too 'wet'.

So had special rice pudding for my brunch earlier..
Damn good it was too. Lots of carnation and pineapple too.
