Grant,
This is pretty hard not to like. Just a drop of water or two and it offers far more than most none age statement scotches I have tried.
It changes as you sip ,sometimes I think I taste a small amount of peat and the next sip non at all.
$29.00 U.S. and it seems a little brother to the G.M. 14 year Quinta Ruban.
The sherry reminds me of the Redbreast Lustau , Sherry forward in the front then falls off to reveal fruits and vanilla.
If you get a chance to try this Naked Grouse, don't pass on it.
Some Highland park in there so that will be where the occasional whiff of peat comes from Jeff I guess.
Not tried it but it's good value at about £26 here.
Tomatin Legacy.
Not expensive this but a mighty nice dramhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6c62d50f39.jpg

Famed as having some of the smallest stills in country. Small stills, big flavour.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...43d190f8d4.jpg
Sherry, oak, flowers and toffee on nose, a little dark chocolate, sherry and honey are in mouth with a fruity and spicy finish
just a note that glenfiddich have a free postage offer on from their own site in case anyone is interested
