Gamay - Pinot Noir blend. 13.3% ABV
Probably the first and only Swiss wine I've tasted. Can't say I was impressed - a bit young and thin, both in colour and taste, but it was a gift, so I shouldn't complain.
CHF11.65, so approx £10

light colour, and fragrant nosing.. green apples to fore.. quite young this.. first taste isnt very good but it grows on you after some air.. palate has more apples and a bit of vanilla.. very good long finish.
could do with a little longer in wood for me but its eminately drinkable..
maybe 3/5 as its not cheap for a young whisky.....after saying that i better hide the bottle:eyebrows:

a teaspoon of water opens up a bit more, yes you got it.. apples..
yes although only 41, it benefits from a teaspoon of water to a 50ml dram
Picked up a miniature of Deanston 12yr old to try. This is at 46.3vol, And now non chill filtered too on its relaunch.
Lovely light fresh nose, and a good finish too. I between there is a bit of seaside and fruit, of which I think might be oranges or lemons.
Wishing I'd bought more now lol.
I will be getting a bottle of this... Lovely stuff. For price it's five star stuff.

Sounds a great drop, good Amazon reviews too, and not hugely expensive. Tempted!
A couple of wines when in Lidl, that looked decent.

Nice one, Grant - are you back drinking some wine again?:)
Both are good choices. We enjoyed the Tokaji over Christmas. Makes a refreshing and nice change from Prosecco!
