I believe it is un chill filtered.
No sherry or Bourbon cask finish , just a glorious tasting old school scotch .
Most likely aged in European oak. So much fruit and toffee and a little pumpkin spice on the finish.
I could just sit and sniff it all night, this is by far the best 12 to 15 year old bottle you could ever hope for.
I thought the Glen Grant 12 was good but this is amazing.
I am sorry this bottle in the U.S. or any thing Glen Grant here is very, very hard to find, this one was a holiday special $55.00 and well worth $100.00 in my humble opinion.
Glad to have gotten one, and met a nice older couple from Scotland that moved here 20 years ago, they said they lived very near the Fettercarin Distillery. I was happy to know of some of the distilleries she talked about like Talisker another of her favorites.Grant has taught me well.
She said she is partial to Laphroaig quarter cask.
Marco would hate this, NO CARAMEL COLOR ADDED. No finish casking. No Bull Shit ,Honest 50 ABV. dram.
CORRECTION: It was aged in an ex Bourbon cask.
