I have 48 both in and sitting on top of the cabinet and 2 in the pantry Nosheen is unhappy about.
I will quietly pick up a couple more bottles or Irish whiskey, even if I have to hide them under the bed.
I have my eye on a Tryconnell 16 and a Powers Johns Lane. I may be able to fit one in my tool box...:mental:

I was recently given a bottle of Glenmorangie, just tried to open it and the cork was very dry and the top almost crumbled, will it be 'off' if I manage to get the rest of the cork out? I suppose I'd have to decant through a fine sieve,ta James

Will be fine. I had that once with a bottle of pappy van winkle. I used a stopper off another bottle

If you have a wine cork around, it will work.

Yup. It was an old bottle too. Probably be worth a bit. Had been sitting on the guys shelf for years. Wasn't as popular then but still expensive compared to other bourbons.

I have seen quite a few comments on the internet about current Glenmorangie not being as good as the old stuff - you could have a classic on your hands there :)

edit: by the way don't chuck it - used to be one of my favourites about 30 years ago (haven't been able to afford it in recent years, they have certainly upped their prices)
