The Lasanta is only £35 a bottle. Must be a bargain if it is any good?

lasanta is very nice, as is their quinta ruban port version.

No I've got this one which I don't recommend, not nearly as good as earlier batches of it.
Maybe the latest batches are better ...

If you are going to drop a ton, this would be one to consider. Doesn't seem to get a bad review.
Good strength at 48% and matured in Oloroso and PX casks ...

Well Marco, initially it is thick, gloopy and creamy to taste. Extremely piney but as peaty as the fires of hell. Lots of kind of fruit cake flavours. Very Christmassy. One of the best I have ever bought.

For me, those Speyside whiskies are nothing short of that bloody Irish rubbish with the exception of Connemara of course.

As long as you're enjoying it mate, that's the important thing. We all have different palates. Like I said, I'm far from a 'proper' whisky drinker. I just know what I like :)
