I could wear my dinner jacket - would that suffice?
(Thinking about it, it should be a white jacket, so sorry - I don't have one.)

Yes, just a dinner jacket and a smile. lol... TBH, mate, I don't think you'd last 5 mins - when they get going, they're rabid!:eyebrows:
Marco.
Well I have survived the attentions of rapacious young fillies on New Year's Eve in Llanwyst, North Wales.
Dose anyone else do this?
I have a 1.75 liter bottle of Carlyle that was left to sit in a bourbon cask , I put the last third of a bottle of Monkey Shoulder and 1/4 bottle of Naked Grouse, now I added half a bottle of Dewar's 15 and some Classic Laddie just to bring up the alcohol content Because the Dewar's was only 40%. It is an ever changing self vatted blend I put in my decanter. It combines a lot of my less expensive bottles. I just want to be rid of, to make room for new bottles I want to try and it lets me keep a big mystery jug of scotch that continues to change.I don't do this with expensive single malts I really like.
I once mixed some whiskies. Like you it was leftovers. Was Laphroaig, JD, and a blended one I've forgot the name of. It tasted pretty horrid [emoji23].
I guess I've not got the knack. Think the smokey islay held it back.
I mostly just use blended scotch from different makers, most bleanded scotches are pretty well balanced so they play nicely togather .The exception was a little 50% unpeated classic laddie .
I thought it just needed a little of the sea brine and younger fruits you get from the laddie. Its funny how just adding 4 or 5 ounces of laddie to a 1.75 liter bottle can make a nice but subtle impact.
With whiskey even a small thing makes a noticeable change.
So as a rule I vat blends not wildly different from one another.
I am glad I added a little laddie as it gave it a nice note of salt air.
A nice balance to all the sherry blends added.
I have been thinking about it recently - just to get rid of some nearly empty bottles and such like. However, I think that the fear of making something awful puts me off :)
the dark side... Edradour 10.
