Never taken any note of American politics, so I had a bit of a look on t'internet: that is so similar to here - that sort of behaviour always makes me think of the last bit of "Animal farm" - trying to get back on topic for this thread: no wonder you like a wee dram or two :glug:

There was more parties and kids out than ever before. Pent up people just wanting to move on with their lives.
BTW The Dewar's was far better than I expected ,I always thought of them as a budget blend but the 15 is very good, there is defiantly some grains mixed in but not to it's undoing.
It was a little more peat forward then J.W. Green label but not a peat bomb by any standard.
Never had a Japanese whiskey, Grant what do you think of it?

I think it's a developed taste. Slightly floral, but has some areas your palate might like.
Seem to come in 50cl bottles mostly and overly priced. I prefer the Nikka red to the cask strength

Fruity, creamy classic pot still Irish.
This is a very fine dram that, with some air, will improve in the bottle as well as the glass.

Opened a nice 18yr old tonight. This is from Glengoyne distillery.

creamy honeyed and quite soft. lots of sherry too of course. quite deep sherry in this actually. worth trying as are most of the goyne's ive had.
