Red wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon area of France are usually rather interesting, as the grape varieties indigenous to that region (coupled with the heat in southern France) combine to add different flavour characteristics from the norm.
More folk should experiment with French regional wines, rather than simply going for the 'usual suspects', as the rewards can be significant and the value for money excellent! Enjoy, mon ami :cheers:

Lol - nice one. If you're enjoying the Pezenas, check out some of the better examples of Corbières (AOC status). They are superb, and should hit the spot nicely in a similar way :)

Picked up a couple of bottles at lidl 10 mins ago. Waiting for the boy getting his tests done.
Look to be nice wines. A corbieres and a bordeaux. ..graves.
