Scored this the other day. Excellent.
Recommended for mother-in-laws that just won't stop nagging.
Note subtle ambiguity in the post.;)

The Pinot Noir looks interesting, although was it perhaps a bit light and lacking in balls for your tastes?:)
Marco.
Chaps, just a heads up, Back from Aldi, and they've got their bargain Amarone DOCG in at a silly price of £12.99, see here: https://www.aldi.co.uk/amarone-della...52567246580600
My advice would be to snap some up while you can, as I've just done, as it will be superb!:)
I also picked up a bottle of this rather excellent Vinsobres (top-notch Rhone red), think 'poor man's Chateauneuf du Pape', for £8.99: https://www.aldi.co.uk/vinsobres-cru...18959303012800
Both of these are great examples of top-notch wines available in Aldi for a mere fraction of the cost normally... The Amarone, think much nearer £20 a bottle, and around £14 for the Vinsobres. Enjoy:cheers:

I haven't forgotten this Dave, just not opened it yet, but I'll fess up when I do. As Grant spotted it was on a limited deal at Amazon for £65.99, rather than the normal 85 ish. Lagavulin 16 is one of my go to whiskies as well, in fact I've just pored a wee dram :)
Another heads up, chaps, for those of you who enjoy quality German weissbier. Aldi have some in now, which is just lovely and the real McCoy [proper craft-type beer]:

Just enjoying this whilst watching the Scotland game!:)
£1.25 a bottle, which is fantastic value for a weissbier of this quality: https://www.aldi.co.uk/german-wheat-...67544016540500

These are the sorts of products Aldi and Lidl excel in.
Marco.
I'm out with my brother for a few jars of ale tonight; but we'll be cracking into my bottle of Ardbeg Kelpie afterwards for a dram or 3 ;)
It landed yesterday, so can't wait to crack the seal
That is superb Wiessbier Marco. I used to drink a Wiessbier called Wiessbier Crystal when I worked in Germany and the one you mention is close.
This was one of the better ones, on draught it was nectar.

Nice one, Jim. That stuff looks really good!:)
The Aldi one is defo worth checking out, though.
Marco.
Btw, I don't know if you're a sherry drinker - we use dry stuff in cooking and better quality varieties, chilled as an aperitif, served with the likes of tapas, but we picked up a bottle of this Fino yesterday in Aldi:

Not had it yet, but it's very good value and appears to tick the right boxes!:)
