This was finished in casks that previously held Grande Champagne Cognac, and you can immediately tell by nose, taste and finish.... very interesting and quite moreish..
sweet in palate and lots of vanilla in the excellent finish, along with the cognac influence of course. good clean nose with nice fruity edge... pears appearing in finish too.
altogether a damn fine dram, at going price it may just be a tad expensive at 60 notes...but hey i didnt pay:D
