Have you tried the BBH sherry cask blend?
I absolutely loved it and only £28 delivered.

Berry Bros and Rudds' Speyside blended. This is a lovely drop. Impressed with it and have more in reserve.
The sherry version is also goodhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...83e9412aad.jpg
About the end for the Wolfburn Sherry Oak. A really nice young fruity malt this at a reasonable price, from one of the up and coming stars of distilling.

I’ve just ordered a bottle of this for one of mums’s neighbours as a thankyou for all his kindness to her before she died last year:

I’m a little envious I will admit!
Also, I know it’s not wine or whisky but may I throw in a vodka recommendation? I usually have a bottle of vodka in the house for cocktail purposes but wouldn’t say I’m a huge fan of it in general.
However, I needed some for a pasta sauce last night and we were down to a bottle bought by some friends of ours as a present from Norway - a Koskenkorva Lime, Lemon and Yarrow vodka. Well, I figured that would do but I felt duty bound to try it first and it’s absolutely delicious. Subtle but solid flavours, not too strong and smoother than a cashmere codpiece. Even better, I figured that as it came from Norway I would struggle to find more over here but, no - £21 from Amazon!

Black Bull 12. This is a blend with lots of malt proportions and from the great Duncan Taylor group. They are one of the top holders of great malts outwith the makers.
Lots of toffe and vanilla on nose plus sherried fruit.
There is treacle in this along with more fruit, vanilla again and finishing with creamy sherry.
Rather nice this and is quite full bodied.
Impressive although not cheap. I could get friendly with this.
Not keen on the black bottle tho.

Very thoughtful of you regarding your mum's neighbour - it makes life so much better to have good neighbours, and they should be recognised.
Interesting Vodka - I don't drink Vodka often but have got a bottle of "Russian standard" in the cupboard with a chilli soaking in it, must get around to having a glass at some stage :)
got 3 bottles of whisky in for my birthday which is coming up... that should keep me going:lol:
Happy Birthday coming up Grant, Cheers!
Tonight it's a Fronter style 10 year old Bourbon.
Elijah Craig small batch is more complex and easier going down neat.
It's on the sweeter side and Vanilla, cinnamon and oak wood.
Similar to Wild Turkey actually. Nothing I'd drive out of my way for.
