Grant, that is a very impressive open bottle list.
For me having a good Rum or Brandy once and awhile just keeps things fresh.
Rum is not something I want every day, same goes for Cognac or an Islay.
It just keeps things interesting.
For most people around me in Kalifornia wine and beer are a big deal and whiskey not so much.
It is fun to give some one an amazing glass of good scotch or Irish whiskey and their next visit a Laphroag 10.
Reactions may differ, but the look of shock remains a constant !
Got a bottle of laphroiag 10 for my Xmas. Used to drink it a lot but not for yesrs now.
Feel it a waste to open the brandies or rum as they might not get touched again. No friends around now so it would just be me. Its gone up in value so maybe if I keep it a bit longer it'll be a collectors item [emoji23]
Laphroiag is the one whisky I just can't bear, just too smoky and peaty for my taste, but it is the one that surprises people the most, in my view it should be rebranded Marmite
Following a recent birthday and Christmas I appear to have started a whiskey collection [emoji846]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c2febb8048.jpg
