Yup, that's also the scene at both my local Lidls.... Maybe they don't trust the Scots with it up there?;)
Or yooz are all just blun, and cannae see it fur lookin' at it! :D
Marco.
It is only rated 87℅ but there are 90℅ wines there for £9.99.
That said, I'm just checkin' Marco's taste buds. Indirectly, you understand:D
Anyone tried this year's Beaujolais nouveau ? To my mind it seems to be a good year for it .
Lol.... Who's ratings are they though, and how much gravitas do they hold?
I couldn't give a monkey's toss about ratings - *I* judge how good something is to ME, not how good a complete stranger thinks it is! :nono:
As an example, Iceland's "luxury" mince pies were apparently recently voted as being 'the best', in test against others from leading supermarkets. We bought some yesterday and tried them. They're ok, but to our tastes clearly inferior to Lidl's or Waitrose's finest ranges, which are both more deeply filled with fruit and richer/tastier.
So.... Fook yer ratings and trust your own taste buds! ;)

Hi John,
It's increasingly hard to find Beaujolais Nouveau here in the UK, as so few places stock it. I'm a big fan, as I love the fresh, fruity flavours... We get some from a local specialist wine merchants, called Tanners, but haven't been along yet to sample this year's crop :)
