It is difficult to recommend a whisky without knowing what style a person likes.
This was voted the 3rd best whisky in the world in 2010 by Jim Murray - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amrut-India...sr=1-1-catcorr

damn it my curiosity got the better of me
Nice. Like you say, any Glengoyne malt is a banker. Always very reliable and high-quality:)
I'm thinking about this, to top up my selection for Christmas - should tick the right boxes for me: low-smoke/peat, rich, dark and sherry-like: https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/...as-15-year-old
Decent price, too.
Marco.
I bought a bottle of this for my collection. Even un opened it will rise in price.

Not in the slightest, it'll be top-notch. However, overall I prefer ruby-red ports, to tawny varieties, but wouldn't say no to a wee drop of yours:eyebrows:
Yeah, in terms of the Glenfarclas, I don't think I could find anything else that ticks the rights boxes as well for around that price.
Marco.
Ive a good sherry, a decent port, great bourbon, sippin' whiskey and of course malts.. plus a few other little bits.. all unopened:lolsign:
