U2 - POP. THE LAST OF THE 1990's TRILOGY OF PSYCHEDELIC ALBUMS BY THE BAND THAT ARE OFTEN OVERLOOKED BY A LOT OF PEOPLE IN FAVOUR OF THE EARLY POST PUNK ALBUMS (BOY, OCTOBER, WAR, UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY, THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE & THE JOSHUA TREE) AND THE LATER (IMHO) BORING ALBUMS (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ALL THAT YOU CANT LEAVE BEHIND WHICH IS A GOOD ALBUM).
I DO LOVE THE EARLY ALBUMS (BOY, OCTOBER, WAR, UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY, THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE & THE JOSHUA TREE) BUT THE THREE PSYCHEDELIC ALBUMS, ACHTUNG BABY, ZOOROPA AND POP THAT THE BAND DID IN THE 90's ARE WITHOUT DOUBT, SOME OF THE MOST INTERESTING, CREATIVE AND INVENTIVE MUSIC THAT U2 EVER DID !!!

Definitely one which you would play for your mates back in the day when they come round, "Have a listen to this, it's called stereophonic sound, it's amazing!"
Was playing the CD of it in the car recently, and was surprised at the SQ. Must get round to trying it on the big stereo, give the cat a scare :)
